The Big 4-0!!!

Happy Birthday to My Mom!!!

Tomorrow (31st) my mom turns 40!

The older I get, the more I value every minute I get to spend with my mom! Time sure does get away from us! I remember the night of our rehearsal, the night before my wedding, I just cried in my mom's arms. I couldn't believe we had already, and so quickly, reached the day where I would no longer sleep at mom's house! It was very bittersweet! Now when we do get to visit with my mom I never want to leave! It's so funny, when you are a teenager you never want to be home, you never want to hang out with mom, but once you are married, sometimes she's the only one you want to see (besides my husband of course)! There's nothing like a mother's touch! There's been so many times I've held back tears but once mom got to me, it was like she worked like a magnet but with my tears instead of metal! I always tease my 18 yr. old sister, that I will always be the oldest and the triplets will always be the babies, but we all know none of that matters with mom, she loves us all the same!

I love you Mom and I hope you have a wonderful 40th Birthday! And I look forward to celebrating the next 40 with you!
After 4 days off, i feel pretty good today!Happy Monday everyone! "More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin."

Happy Friday, For Us!

Ahhh.... Our 4 day weekend starts now... Jonathan and I both were able to take tomorrow and Friday off! I always look forward to staying home with him! We have laughed so hard here recently, I know we are going to enjoy the next few days together. He definetely keeps me entertained! I think he gets joy out of making me laugh too because once I start laughing he will keep going and get me to laugh so hard, this embarassing laugh comes out! But I love times like that! I don't need a bunch of fancy things or nice dinners all of the time, I just need him to be close by, and we are guaranteed to have a good time! I just love that we can crack up about anything!

So the agenda for tomorrow is - walking first thing in the morning! I highly doubt this will be a power walk, more like a stroll so it will be somewhat relaxing and we will catch a nice breeze going early in the morning! I love walks together! Then the afternoon, we are headed for the pool! I definetely need this exercising with all the food and desserts brought in at my job! It's a terrible thing! Sometime in between all the fun we will do some house cleaning! There's so much going on this weekend we will be busy for sure! These next four days will fly and we'll be headed back to work in the blink of an eye!

The Touch of the Master's Hand

'Twas battered and scarred, and the old auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
to waste much time on the old violin,
But he still held it up with a smile:
"What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?"
"A dollar, a dollar"; then, "Two!" "Only two?
Two dollars, and who'll make it three?
Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
going for three ..." but no.
From the room far back, a gray-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet
As a caroling angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said; "What am I bidden for the old violin?"
And he held it up with the bow.
"A thousand! And who'll make it two?
Two thousand! And who'll make it three?
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice,
And going, and gone," said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried,
"We do not quite understand
What changed it's worth." Swift came the reply:
"The touch of the master's hand."

And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sun,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd,
Much like this old violin.
A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine;
A game; and he travels on.
He is "going" once, "going" twice,
He's "going" and almost "gone."
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought
By the touch of the Master's hand.

by Myra Brooks Welch

This reminds me of the song that says...

Something beautiful, something good
All of my confusion, He understood
All I had to offer Him was brokeness and stife
But he made something beautiful of my life

I am so unworthy! Thank God he took time out for me, though I had nothing to offer Him! I am forever indebted to the Master!

It is so amazing to me, how God can take a shattered and torn life and make something beautiful of it. I can't testify that I was an alcoholic. I will never be able to say I was addicted to drugs. I never lead a promiscuous life. But I can say that God kept me from all of those things. I still needed that same delivering power to be saved!

Thank God for the power of the blood and the beauty of holiness!

Can't Believe It!

TGIF!!!!
I can't wait until 4:30!!! It's been so nice being able to drive with my husband to and from work! God has blessed us! (We work right next door to each other! Him, at a state prison, and me, at a hospital.)

So yesterday was 11 months being married!! Which means next month we will be celebrating Our very First Anniversary!! Yay! I'm so excited! But stumped on what to do for him! Any ideas?

Love Bug

My "Love Bug" when he was only "Mommy's Little Love Bug!" Wasn't he cute? I will never understand why God would choose me to be his wife! God intended for our paths to cross!

Jer 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jonathan, you are my hope and (Yay!) my future!

Same Place, Years Between

Both of these pictures are scanned so they are not good quality. Sorry.

One of our many trips to Disneyland, years ago

And... After Jon proposed at Snow White's Wishing Well

How time has changed us both! So many memories I share with Jonathan! I was only 12 when I first met him and oh, the stories I could tell! One of our first conversations was about the rapture! Haha! I can honestly say, Jonathan is a true Christian. And he is such a good husband! He's so gentle, yet so strong! He really is my best friend!
